Aquarius
Orca ยท West Coast Community
A male orca of the West Coast Community and John Coe's usual companion. The two are most often recorded together. Like the rest of this small, long-studied group, he ranges the deep water off the west of Scotland and Ireland rather than keeping to any one stretch of coast.

These are sightings of the species, not confirmed sightings of Aquarius. Identifying an individual takes a clear photograph of the dorsal fin, which is exactly what a claimed report adds.
About Aquarius
Aquarius is an orca recorded in the West Coast Community. PodLog tracks Aquarius alongside every other verified cetacean sighting reported around Britain and Ireland, combining community reports with data from the Sea Watch Foundation and WhaleTrack.
Sightings of individually recognisable animals like Aquarius are what make long-term tracking possible. The same dorsal fin, nick or scar identified year after year is how a lifespan, a range and a social group get mapped. If you think you have seen Aquarius, report the sighting and claim the individual on your report.
