John Coe

Orca ยท West Coast Community

The most recognisable orca in British waters. A large male of the West Coast Community, identified by the distinctive notch near the base of his tall dorsal fin. He ranges widely between the Hebrides, the Irish coast and occasionally further south, usually travelling with Aquarius. No calf has ever been recorded in the community he belongs to, and each of its remaining members is followed closely as a result.
